We have sinned, we have committed iniquity, we have been wicked and rebellious, we have turned away from your commandments and your ordinances.

All Israel has transgressed your law, and turned away from listening to your voice. Then the curses and imprecations that are written in the law of Moses, God’s servant, were poured out on us, because we sinned against God.

Whenever they light a fire for war, God puts it out. And they strive to sow disorder on earth.

And among the Jews, there are listeners of lies, listeners of other people who have not come to you and who distort the words of their positions.

Behold, they plot with a plot. And I plot with a plot.

Those people say: There is only one death for us, the first. And we will not be resurrected.

Their marks are on their faces, from their submission.

Satan has overpowered them and made them forget the remembrance of God. Those are the party of Satan, and indeed, the party of Satan are the losers.

Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of believers—do they seek dignity with them? Indeed, all dignity belongs entirely to God.

Your wives are a land for you.

Is it this being? Raised amidst adornments and who is not clear in dispute?

And if We delayed the punishment for them until a counted community, they would say, “But what is holding him back?
